Aliens vs Predator gets its first review… this one may be dead on arrival? | |

The Aliens franchise holds a special, horrifying, place in my heart and while I was never going to be picking up this game for myself I did really hope it would be awesome.
Unfortunately last weeks demo’s glitches appear to be the tip of the iceberg when it comes to failings in this latest revival of this series.
GameInformer has released the first review of the game and with comments like
“Poor melee combat results in a few frustrating encounters but the game’s poor AI keeps things relatively easy”
So the melee sucks but the game is so bad it doesn’t really matter?
“The Alien campaign plays like a combination of the other two (Predator/Marine). Like the Predator campaign, it has a stealth focus, and like the marine campaign, It sucks.”
All in all they gave it a less than mediocre score of 5.75/10, I hate to say it but it looks like Rebellion games may not be around for too long if this is the quality we are going to expect.
But keep in mind this is only the first review and it’s not abnormal to see certain publications hating on a game that ends up being awesome… we should get some hands on time with this title in the next few days. Stay tuned for more news.

*wonders whether to cancel pre-order or not*
I never make my mind up with demos so will wait for more reviews.
